Marketing Content Manager

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Content Manager will collaborate with teams such as sales and operations to align content with business goals. Over time, this role will lead and mentor a content team while staying current on content, analytics, and marketing trends.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and Manage Content: Create and manage digital marketing efforts, including SEO, social media, blogs, email campaigns, and online advertising tailored to target audiences.
- Social Media Management: Post, monitor, and engage with audiences, with a primary focus on LinkedIn, to grow brand presence and foster engagement.
- Manage Video Content Production: Lead the creation and execution of video content strategies, ensuring alignment with marketing goals. Oversee all stages of video production, from concept and scripting to post-production, ensuring brand consistency and optimization for digital platforms.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all content aligns with the company’s brand voice, messaging, and visual identity.
- Customer Engagement and Relationship Building: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences through research and direct interactions. Represent the company at customer meetings, events, and trade shows, demonstrating a willingness to travel as needed to foster relationships and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Analyze and Optimize Performance: Track content performance using analytics tools, providing insights and actionable recommendations to improve outcomes. Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing efforts, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate the development and execution of content marketing efforts. Provide input to enhance creative direction and ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure content strategies support business goals. Research and evaluate potential vendors, ensuring they meet business needs and budget requirements. Present vendor options and recommendations to the Director for final approval, while coordinating vendor communications and overseeing vendor management.
- Innovate and Optimize Distribution: Propose new ideas to expand content reach and optimize distribution across channels.
- Platform and Tool Management: Oversee marketing tools and platforms to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and stay current with industry trends and innovations.
- Build and manage a high-performing marketing team through mentorship, collaboration, and empowerment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in content strategy, marketing or a related field
- 1-3 years of leadership experience; managing a team
- B2B experience preferred
- Experience with Adobe Suite
- Experience in content management systems (CMS)
- Experience in email marketing software
- Experience in social media management software
- Excellent proficiency with digital marketing tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and innovatively
- Expertise in video editing and production
Physical Requirements
- Must we willing to travel up to 10% annually.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 pounds, occasional bending and reaching
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Location: Greenville, SC; Dallas, TX; Kansas City, MO highly preferred
Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 based on degree of experience
